Ruf Corral at Concorso Italiano

If you own a Ruf or Ruf modified car and are planning on attending Concorso Italiano in Carmel as part of the Monterey Historics next week, Ruf is hosting its first ever Corral at this year's event (August 13th) so drive your Ruf and display it in the Ruf corral.

Alois will be there and will be presenting his new RGT RS (see photo) and possibly the Ruf Cayenne. I understand the event rganizers are charging $100 per car but I don't know what's included with that other than corral parking. For details and to reserve a space, contact Asgar Virji at 800-665-6688 or asgar.virji@weissach.com today (deadline is Monday or Tuesday).

Just fyi,
Steve Beddor

I'll be in Monterey they day of this event. Tickets are $100 for spectators according to the website! Seems a bit steep just for the chance to observe these cars. I guess I'm just too cheap to attend. $25 would be reasonable.

You wouldn't want to be bere if the entry fee was only $25 beucase it would be wall to wall people. Samething with Pebble Beach.

I go to these events to people watch as well so wall-to-wall people is OK with me. Paying $100 per person to look at cars and to shop in the corral is outrageous. I guess I'm skipping this event.

Guys, stop and think for a moment. Its _the_ Concorso Italiano! At Pebble Beach!! It doesn't get any better than this: the best cars, the most ridiculous people, everything. Im not going to attend this year, but I will attend someday before I die.

I hear what you're saying Mat...exotic cars, celebrities, etc. I've known for a long time though that I'm a cheap b@stard so I still say $100 for a car show is too much. Just my personal opinion. However, if there was some way I could write off the trip as a business expense, I'd be there.

Concorsco Italiano at Black Horse golf course, Friday: $100 advance or gate

Pebble Beach Concourse, Sunday: $125 at gate

Monterey Historics three day pass: $95 in advance

The Historics seemed to be the best value, plus I would rather watch cars race than park. I'll be at the races with the crowds. Unfortunately there will probably be more Porsches at Concorsco than at Laguna Seca.

Concorso Italianio

If you want to park in the Corral it will be more than $200 if you register today. Includes entry fee for your car and two people. Check their website at www.concorso.com for more info.
