A simple question.
I know this maybe a simple question for many, but the answer I do not know, and I seek your help.
How do I measure the current wheel offset that I have on the rims that are on my car now? Thanks. |
Are they Fuchs? If so, Take them off and look for the numbers on the back of the wheels. Should have the size and part number stamped in them. You can either look them up in a parts guide for Pcars or try the search button here for help.
If not Fuchs, maybe post a picture. The offset is the distance from the mounting flange to the inside rim edge. Use a straight edge across the rim and a ruler vertical too get the measurment. Hope this helps. Wayne |
Wheel Pic
Here is a pic of the wheels that I am trying to determine the offset of.
Hope this helpshttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1091499877.jpg |
remove the rim. place a piece of wood across the rim's bead (not the tire) and them measure from your piece of wood to the part of the wheel that contacts your hub. Simple.
If you don't have spacers, you should also be able to measure from bead to bead on the front and rear and then subtract the stock width (which someone on this board with wheels with known back spacing could provide). This measurement could be used to determine your backspacing. |
