Porsche Crest Ignitor Conversion

I have finally gotton the car that I have always wanted since seeing them race in Daytona since a kid. My dream car is a 68 911T euro that has been very well taken care of from the previous owner.
I would like to do a electronic conversion & keep things as original looking as possible & would like to use the Ignitor conversion kit. I have used this kit in my high performance VW's & have had good results.
My question is: My distributor uses 2 piece points. The ignitor is designed for 1 piece points for the module to fastened into the same screw hole for the points. Can the post for the 2 piece system be removed? Can the module be mounted in the screw hole on the other side where the adjustable piece of the points go?
What modifications need to be done in order to make the module fit?
Any advice would be welcome.
