I recently acquired a trove of air-cooled Porsche parts which included some Mulholland shocks. Has anyone ever heard of them or had experience with them. Apparently they are adjustable, but I haven't been able to confirm that myself yet.
There were also some other (really gunky) shocks with red bodies. Anyone care care to venture as to what they are? Ultimately, most of this stuff will be going on sale after I check it out and clean it up.

If you venture over to the OT Board, you'll find a guy named Mulholland, who can be very shocking, especially if you're of the Liberal persuasion. He doesn't seem to be very adjustable though!!!

John,
My first car, a '75 BMW 2002, had "Mulholland" shock absorbers. They were of incredibly cheap construction, made in Mexico, and were easily compressible by hand after about 40K miles. I replaced them with KYB's.

Thanks. Since they appeared to be so "well known" (NOT!), I assumed that there had to be a reason. I guess those will go in the junk bin.

Don't Koni shocks have red bodies?
