Steering dampner for pcars?
I know little about pcar steering mechanicals so this may sound like a dumb question. Do any of you modify your cars to reduce road shock and steering kickback, like the kickback you get when you hit a small pothole?
As far as I can tell my car has no such device and while I don't want to reduce my road feel, I am still curious if any of you have attempted to dampen steering kickback. Thanks.

The last thing I'd want to do is dampen the feedback through the steering wheel. I think the cars refinement has made it an intregal part of the cars appeal.
That reminds me I have to start thinking about replacing the damper on my SL.

Usually the only time something of this kind is need is after lowering the car and changing the geometry of the front suspension.
Then you usually need a bump steer kit or something similar. The steering feedback in these cars is one of the things that so many other cars lack.

Not so. With the 996, PAG took out the kickback but the steering feel is definitely still there. So there is some way to improve the steering - may not be a dampener, tho.
