What do ya think....color accent change....

Got bored and changed out the blue accented wheels with some full faced red Fuchs.

Now should I change out the Carrera stripe or leave it as is....OR loose it all together?

Original wheels......

For comparison.

...with that stripe, I like the "original" wheels better.

I think you need a negative "porsche" script rather than the carrera.

Trust Me 08-07-2004 11:09 AM

I like the red wheels. I know you did not ask our opinion on this but have you tried a "duck" tail? May look good with the red wheels and the total "rs" look. Just my opinion.

Jack Olsen 08-07-2004 11:39 AM

Red "Porsche" text, positive or negative.

sammyg2 08-07-2004 11:47 AM

The red and blue combination don't do it for me.
If I were you (and you're glad I'm not) I'd lose one or the other.

nostatic 08-07-2004 11:58 AM

if you put a big 'merikun flag on the hood, the red and blue works. Or maybe a Firebird. Hmm....

Silveresrty911S 08-07-2004 01:15 PM

Agreed, use either the red "Porsche" or "Carerra" script with those rims.

GettinHeadStuds 08-07-2004 01:39 PM

Those red wheels look hot.

svonkampen 08-07-2004 01:54 PM

very patriotic........

car would look good in a parade

(too many colors)

xlr8 08-07-2004 02:07 PM

Paint centercaps and/or lugnuts red to match wheels...
Red stripe, or darker 'flag' blue for patriotic look.

Prefer the red wheels, maybe try red script (are they expensive?) otherwise lose the script.

JeremyD 08-07-2004 03:10 PM

Hey, I know a place you can get scripts in different colors!

Joe Bob 08-07-2004 03:21 PM

Different colored Side Scripts...to me are CHEAP...%^B

I have a duck tail....it's sitting in the garage....I just changed it out for the 3.6 style one. It will go back on soon when I get bored again.

Trust Me 08-07-2004 04:32 PM

Once again, I like the red wheels. Go by what you like. If everyone had a car that looked exactly like Jack's his would be the norm. Make your own statement. How many people would vote for standard black wheels with factory finish. I bet most. Seems to be a trend thing. In the same lines with getting rid of the factory tail. A trend. The day will come when every one will be buying those tails back.
I am now off my soap box.
Jack O. I just used your car as an example. Great car!

The Chef 08-07-2004 04:39 PM

Red carrera stripe. Duck tail. I find that the 3.8 tail makes the car looked too much for the street. My 2 cents since you asked.

Yeah - I know you do - I've sent a couple people your way... I would try it with the red stripes and lose the 3.8 tail - looks like rice.

Yellowbird RS 08-08-2004 10:02 AM

red stripes and (duck tail)

Joeaksa 08-08-2004 10:12 AM

Mikey,

You get bored every few minutes so put the ducktail back on!

Only thing is that with the blue stripes you do not stand out so much. With red wheels and red sticker on the car it would be like waving a flag at the cops or CHIPs and we all know that you always drive the speed limit... :)
