flag mirror crosses models?

I'm looking for a r/s mirror for my SC. Looking at Ebay, it appears the 944,928, 924 etc. mirrors are all the same, but they don't include 911 for fit. Are there subtle differences in the mirrors or are all flag style mirrors interchangable?

Terry-

Not sure of all the details, but I got some from a 944 or 924 and found that the base section that meets the body had a straight edge to fit a flat door. I had to grind these to fit the curve of the 911 door. They never did fit right. I think the upper parts of the mirror are probably the same for most models. Hopefully someone can provide more specific info.

Thanks Steve. I have a used 911 mirror that has a warped/faded black rubber boot. I bought a 944 mirror last night, hopefully I can exchange the base on the 944 and get one good mirror out the deal.

Sounds like that should work. I found a couple of the rubber edge parts that weren't warped, but faded. I used Bumper Black spray paint on them and they look fantastic.
