Power window problem

I started to raise the passenger window last week, and the switch on the door broke. ( passenger side switch). Than I couldnt raise or lower either window.
No problem, I ordered a new switch, hooked it up, still neither window works. I checked the 25 amp fuse, it was blown.
Tried 3 times to put a new fuse in, as soon as I turned on the ignition, it blows. Any ideas? Is there a separate power window relay that might be bad?
I traced the black wire in the fuse block for the power windows, and it goes to a round relay. A another red wire gows to this relay, and it is for the blower motor , which works fine.

Thanks!

" Any ideas?"
------ yep. The sw solid red is somehow contacting the brown ground.. if your lucky?

"power window relay that might be bad?"
------- I doubt it 'cause this all started when you changed sw's.

The black wire goes to the window relay. Then there should be a red/white & red/black connected to this relay. There may be 2 red/white wires comming together at the relay instead of one red/white.

why not list your model year and any mods in the "signature" to aid future reference.

So with the broken passenger switch, it affected the operation of the drivers side? I will check my wiring!

Thanks Ronin!

I may have gotten the sw colors crossed, but I would check all 3 sw's to make sure no hot is grounding.. A hot wire may be grounding into the door inner sheet metal when the sw is mounted.

All 3 sw's use one fuse.

I checked and corrected my wiring, put a new fuse in, and they work fine! Thanks!!!
