suggestions - momo hub modification

I need to extend the signal cancel tab on this momo hub about a 1/16" in order to get the signals to cancel. Any suggestions on the easiest way to do this...

2-part epoxy. When mixed together and wait a minute becomes fairly thick stuff. Apply to end. Let dry, add another layer if needed. Can sand edges to square off and match the tab when completely hardened.

Kurt,

Thanks for the reply... I'll try JB Weld tonight and post the results.

If you try this method, use a piece of tape to make a mold. Wrap the peice on the outside of the curve and then bend around the corners. lay the hub on its side and fill the bucket. Then just file back to the desired length.

If it is steel, why not just weld onto the tab and grind? if it is cast iron, clearly this suggestion won't work.
OR could you remove 1/16th" from everywhere else?

Looks like cast aluminum or pot metal (less likely). If so I'd make a taller tab and attach it (epoxy or rivet) to the inside or outside of the shorter, existing tab.

or

I'd build-up with this http://www.alumaloy.net/ and shape.
