How much power can a 2.4 case take ?

If a 2.4 case is prep'd right, how much power can you give it reliably ? In a dream situation consider it may have turbos or a supercharger on it.

Just wondering, if anyone knows?

297 on Jerry Wood's dyno. Mag case. windaged, boat tailed and modified for a larger oil pump.

Otto , what where the other specs on that engine?

How much power did the 2.7 put out?

there are lots of factors here. no one number, NA versus turbo are different stresses. I don't think enough people have done turbos on 2.4 cases to get good data, but feel free to post if you have!

I would bet the engine otto speaks of is NA. probably 2.8 or so.

That was a 2.9 liter motor that ran in Checkbook Chuck's GT-2 SCCA race car. It was 93/70.4, single plug, crankfire, 46 webbers with the tall PMO manifolds, expensive headers and Phase Nines. Chuck still holds the lap record @ Willow Springs in the GT-2 class SCCA.
