Interior Lights Not Working in '88 Cab
The center light between the visors on my '88 Cab will turn on when I switch it to the always on position, but it won't turn on with it in the "turn on when doors are open" position. Same with my glove box light. Are the two lights connected in any way? What could cause this on both of the lights?

I had the same problem with my '88 Cab. There were two issues.
One was the contact on the light's rocker switch that was not making contact in the "turn on w/ door open" position, I had to CAREFULLY (and I do mean carefully) bend the contacts just slightly to make it work. Then the door switches were slightly corroded and not making good contact, plus on the passenger side the wire had come off of the connector. Remove the switches, clean up the contacts with a little fine sanding and elec parts cleaner, and check the wire connections. Probably need new rubber switch caps to keep them clean too, mine were gone. I don't think the glovebox light is supposed to come on with the doors opening, it only comes on with the glovebox door....I think. (If I were home with the car I'd check) Good Luck Andrew

Thanks Andrew. I'll check the door switches first I guess. I meant the glovebox door. The glovebox light won't turn on when the glovebox door is open and the switch is in the "turn on when door is open" position.
