wheres a good mechanic

My baby has is with me now and now in need of some advice! I need to kno what you guys in the norcal area reccomend as the best shop mechanic around, looking for very knowledgable experienced, helpful, shop/mechanic and even though it probably doesnt exist a mechanic who doesnt gouge his prices way into the sky making it very rare that id take my car to him and just work on it my self.

One thing is that i dont really have acess to do anything great than an oil change and some other small stuff right now but in the future ill be able to drop the engine and such. In the meantime ive got a bunch of small projects to do and i need someone in this area whos not going to cost me an arm and a leg to do it. CAuse i know that they know that everyone in this area is rolling in their 996's and nice new porshces and have a couple million hanging around to put in their car. Over there in carmel.

Other than that i got one tech question, been driving my car and the 1st to 2nd shift feels really long i mena that sometime when i think that i shifted fine its not in and ill have to try again but it feels kinda long and i dont know if its me or the tranny

open up the access cover to the shift coupling and pull back the rubber boots...

Shift around and see if it looks like the shift rod is moving on the coupler or with the coupler and tighten the coupler if need be.
