Factory spark plug tool
These are basically worth their weight in gold if you've ever tried to change sparkplugs w/ a duct-taped mess of craftsman extensions. Not mine, I just saw this & wanted to give a heads up for the spark plug tool-challenged Pelicans out there.

Thanks.

My experience has been that the factory tool is great for installing spark plugs, but not al that great for removing them. The problem I have is that the rubber donut inside the factory tool is so stiff (basically unused) that it's hard to get it into position to remove a plug. My solution was to JB weld a short extension to spark plug socket. It works like a charm!

I have a short piece of allen wrench glued into a socket.
I use this to turn the factory tool with a ratchet, I can't imagine anything working better or easier. |
I don't think our host carries these...Hazet spark plug socket #2505-2 Available for $40 or so from
