74 911 30K miles perfect worth?

a good friend of mine has decided to sell his 74. It is red, black interior, the car is perfect, and I dont use that term ever. He is the original owner. I will try to post some pics-this would be a perfect car for survivor concours and such. EVERYTHING is original, never any engine work. Dont really want to hear about head studs and reactors... we all know about that, this car will appeal to a relatively small percentage of folks, it is regularly driven, although for very short distances. This car belongs to a fanatic-we all know the type. He has asked me for my opinion as to its worth, I appreciate all your input and expertise.

that isn't good for the car.

You might get a decent price from a collector, but it isn't a very collectable car. Maybe $15K to the right person?

Bill,

Location in the country is a big part of the value equation ...

The 1974 models didn't have reactors, but, rather the early-style heat exchangers ... so unless residing in the South and driven hard, wouldn't have stud-pulling issues!

Base 911, or 911S model???

I doubt it is worth more than $10K ... you won't find any 'collectors' looking for USA '74 models, these days!

The recent Excellence price guide for an excellent condition '74 coupe is $11,900. If this car is really beyond excellent and in concours condition it might go for a bit more.

Do people feel that the Excellence market updates are on the low side, high side, or mostly right on the money for the 911? For the 914 the prices are totally out of whack on the low end (poor condition) and very close to right on the money for cars in excellent condition.

Please post some pics. I have a friend who would be interested in a car like this if it's in CA.
