Anybody know what this jack is for..356, 911?
It's a Bilstein I got off Ebay today, price was right so I couldn't pass. Looks like it's missing the lift handle.
Anyway, what'd I buy? ![]()

I think both the 60s 356 and early 911s used this same jack - could be from either of those as well.

Those things are dangerous.....use a jack insert and a floor jack. They look good in the trunk when the white glove weenie comes by to judge but are useless otherwise.
Used one in the snow once...in band camp...still have the scar.....

356 jack looks the same but shorter I think. Same jack I had in a VW also. Yes, missing the handle too.

Yea, I'd never use the thing, just thought it'd look cool in the trunk with the toolkit (that I don't have yet). I thought I'd seen a jack similar to this in a 66 911, but that was years ago so I wasn't sure.

It may be period correct for your '67. It looks similar to my '68 912's jack. The lug wrench (skinny end, obviously) goes in the top female fitting to raise. Mine had upper/lower hooks rather than your lower female fitting for lowering the vehicle. I'm sure an owner's manual of that period would show the process. I used mine for almost two decades of minor wrenching on the 912.
