CIS to EFI throttle body mod for TPS
...
|
I modded my throttle body to use a tps with my megasquirt setup.
here's the parts I used. I made the adapter plate from scrap aluminum. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1092542831.jpg I drilled and tapped the throttle shaft and the 2 holes in the throttle body used to mount the bracket. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1092542855.jpg the actuator key is a #10 thumb screw. After I ground it down to fit in the tps I put a nut on it for a lock nut. I had to do some fiddling around to get the angle of the key just right to get full throw on the TPS. Once I got it adjusted I tightened the nut to lock the screw in place. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1092542866.jpg Once I had prepped the throttle body all that was left was to cut and drill the adapter plate and bolt it together. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1092542885.jpg after everything was fitted I cut down the bolts that hold the TPS to the plate. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1092542955.jpg |
Outstanding.

Thanks for sharing Alan! I wondered how the TPS was attached to the throttle body, is this normally how it is done or your version? These pics go into my EFI project file.

Thanks Tom!
I'm going the DIY route with my megasquirt install so everything I'm doing is one off. tbitz has a really nice kit he sells that doesn't use a TPS, it uses MAP for acceleration enrichment. |
