First post and a question about headlight switch removal

Hi!

My name is John. My wife, 97*Sunshine has been posting here. Actually I have posted under her user name a few times, but that is another story... ;)
I am in the middle of installing a new turn signal lever. I cannot seem to get the headlight on/ off switch out of the dash.
I found this thread and had my wife reply to it... ;)

I cannot get it to budge. I've tried to loosen it with a screw driver, but it won't work for me. Is there a tool I can buy that will "plug" into the 4 holes so I can loosen this thing?
Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to destroy anything. I have attached a picture to show what I have done to it so far...

I used a pair of needlenose pliers. Put the tips in the holes across from each other and unscrewed it. Lefty loosey. You could probably make a tool from some coat hangar wire.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll have to try that!
And next time, I'll post a smaller picture. SmileWavy

No, the picture is great...bigger/more detail is always best. Sometime we have done the task so long ago we forget without good visual aids. It always helps to post the year/model of your car and if there are significant mods when looking for advice though. Most of us put it in our sig. line so we do not have to remember.
