Windshield Replacement in Orange County
Need to replace the windshield in my 84. Anyone have any leads.
I found via search lots of talk of it, but no names. Michael

I recently had this problem myself and found out the hard way that the eeny-meeny-minee-mo technique in the yellow pages is not a good way to go. I called Newport Beach Porsche and they recommended Brad from Auto Glass Plus. He does all types of exotics and is a really cool guy. He came out and installed the windshield in my driveway and was incredibly thorough. The job was perfect and priced right.

I have a GREAT guy. I've used him for years. Very competent with Porsches and other high end cars, but with dealer/wholesale pricing. He'll come to your house, and will do the job right.
You'll have to wait until Monday when I get back to my office to get his number, though. I don't have it here at home. |

After 20 years, my windshield is pitted. I wouldn't mind a new one. Since we're all in SoCal, how about a group buy? We could all meet at one location, and the chosen installer can do them back-to-back-to-back. Anyone interested?

Spoke to RJ, and he is working on prices. He will only put in the factory seal, which his will not supply, so I am talking with our host about getting from him. I should have prices up by Thursday. Michael

What type of glass? How about the antenna in the windshield, tint, etc?

Well, got pulled over for 50 in a 25 and the crack in the windshield was called out by the officer. Although no ticket for either I need to get the windshield fixed (no cure for the heavy foot yet). Anyone still on this?
