Random Carrera pics in Southeast PA

Been awhile since I took some and Im still practicing 'proper' photography. Clean car and a nice day persuaded me. Besides... who on this board doesnt like 911 pics, eh?

Ran out of batteries before I could snap a "Jack" pose, though.

Comments welcome. Enjoy.

Car looks great, are the Fuchs polished?
They look like chrome in the pictures.

Thanks for sharing.

Danke.

Ian - the shots were taken at Breyers Reserve off of County Line road about 2 miles south of the Stump rd. intersection on the opposite side of 309 from you.

George - yep, polished. Four of Al Reed's finest examples, in fact.

The car was lowered by Mike Tilson Motorcars in the city. Its right off of City Ave down by St. Joes.

If youre a PCA member, they advertise on the back of Der Gasser.

Quality shop.

Ill find the bill for cost...

I know Tillson's

I know the place. I live in Lower Merion so it’s right around the corner. For 15 years I have used Don Galbraith in Devon on my Porsche's. My neighbor own the Jag dealer on Lancaster Ave. and are good friends with the Tillson's, they convinced me to try them. I actually brought my car there for service once. When I went to pick it up, they had tools lying on the roof which flipped me out. There was also a ding in the driver’s side headlight ring. Now I did not know for sure if they did it, but I had just got the car back from the body shop where I had the duck painted and fitted and I knew every square inch of the body and I believe I would have noticed that ding if it was there prior to dropping the car at Tillson’s. I simply asked about the ding and everyone there got really defensive. The net result was I just asked them to remove the tools from roof and give me the car back. I paid them for the wheel balance and never went back. Two days later I had the wheels rebalanced properly and the rest of the work finished that was needed.

My car without a doubt needs to be lowered, I was just wondering what other people paid for the total job.

Thanks

Wow, thats shocking!

Ive been taking cars there for the better part of 6 years now. Ive always been thrilled to death with the work they've done.

I had a PPI done at Galbraith with my last P-car and... lets just say they didnt catch everything. Went through a couple other shops before I ended up at Tillson's with a problem no one could fix. They fixed it in a week.

Regardless - I cant see the detail for total hours for the lowering, but I paid $1300 parts and labor for the following on that trip:

-Lower, align, corner balance, balance wheels/tires
-Valve adjustment
-Oil change
-Turbo tie rods
-Bump steer kit

Total labor was around $1,000 for all jobs, so I figure a simple lowering would drop that figure by a couple hundred.

Well worth the professional job - the car feels amazing in the twisties.

Thats a good price for all that work... odd how we've had opposite experiences at the two shops.... the true experience probably lies somewhere between the two.

Your car looks great..
