Reliable mechanics in the Chicago suburbs?

I'm looking for a reliable and trustworthy 911 mechanic in the Chicagoland area (I'm located in the western suburbs). I'm really looking for someone who will have patience with a weekend-mechanic's questions and won't be turned off when I want to do some of the work myself.
