how tell if wheels are chromed?

Is there any way to tell if my Fuchs have been chromed? The surface looks chromed but maybe it was just polished.

I posted pics before but am looking for some definitive way to tell before I pay shipping to Al Reed.

Take some metal polish (I like Flitz) and polish a section. If your polishing rag turns black it is non-chromed aluminum.

Just to be sure I just tried a magnet on chromed aluminum wheels, and it was not 'attracted'.
