G50 Transmission not letting into gear easy
I have a 1989 911 3.2 with the G50 transmission. Lately the car is difficult to move the shift lever into gear. You can feel it almost hitting something and will not go into gear.
Any ideas on what it could be? The clutch and related parts were done maybe 20k miles ago, maybe less. I was wondering if maybe the fluids needed to be changed. I have not noticed any tranny fluid leaks. The car is not driven much incase that might be a cause. Thanks guys

It could be a # of things. Is the clutch release point the same as before? It could be that the clutch needs to be blead.

I am not sure about the clutch release point. I do know that this used to happen just trying to go into first gear. Then last weekend when I took it out, I had trouble just getting it to go in any of the gears for a moment. Reverse has no issue and seems to slide in there ok.

It really sounds like the clutch. If the clutch isn't stiff then I would bet on it needing to be bled. They can be a real booger to get the air out of them, even with a pressure bleeder.
