hi & '84 Carrera update

I'm enjoying a rare night at home online and just wanted to say hi. The PP forums were blocked long ago at my work. There were two of us who, admittedly, were abusing the hell out of them. Ah well. So I haven't been on the forum in a lonnnnggggg time.

Also, my '84 Carrera is doing great. I'm happy to say I'm really just driving it these days. A couple years ago I rebuilt the motor & trans with lots of help from this board. I've put upward of 10K miles on it since then and it's running beautifully. I had a tuneup about 6mos ago and took the opportunity to dyno the car. I have GAINED hp, people. heh. She's up to 224 rear wheel hp on a 3.2 with these modest mods..
- C2 cams
- dastek piggyback computer
- broadfoot/K&N intake
- fabspeed premuff
- Dansk dual out muffler
- titanium rod bolts, valve springs & retainers - 7400rpm redline

There's the lovely, ultra-tactile handling to enjoy, though I especially love the higher redline and the insane way she pulls all the way up to it. Feels Ferrari-ish. You know what's weird? My Dansk muffler has gotten a great deal louder. WTF? I thought these things were mechanically baffled.

Well anyway, someday I'll do suspension updates to finish the car. Although maybe if the money fairy smiles on me I'll replace with a 930 (I had my ass handed to me by a modded S4 the other day) grrrrrrrr.
