Show Me Your 77S

Please post pics and/or your web links for your 1977S models.

Looking in particular for pics of narrow bodied cars with tails and front spoilers, but want to see flared ones too.

Also what size tire and wheel combos do you run on your narrow body?

Thanks,
Ed

Here's a picture of my '76 "at speed". Visually identical to a '77 except for the fact that it doesn't look anything like a '76 911 any more:

Before I flared the car, I ran everything from 185/70-15s on 6x15s to 225/50-15s on 7x15s. The best combo was a 225/50-15s on 7x15s at all four corners.

Some of the guys on the board are now running 8s on the rear with 245s. That's the ticket.

With flares, I now run 245s/275s.

marcesq has extensive experience with big wheels and tires on his narrow body without flares.

do a search using his sign-in name

It's a 77S cab conversion, does not fit any of your requirements, but, oh well, why not....

Can I post some shots of my '76? It looks like a '77... honest!

I posted 3 pics, because they show how 205/55-15s fit on 15x7 Fuchs, when the car sits at around 25"/24.75" f/r height. I've rolled the front fender lips, but the rears are standard.

It's hard to see in these photos, but there's a Carrera chin, but no tail.

Thanks Guys, keep 'em coming. Yes, 76's or other narrow bodies are fine too.

I have a question, was there ever a smaller version of the Duck-Tail?

Perhaps just a rubber lip sticking up just aft of the grille?

Something understated like the pop-up on the Boxster or the stationary Audi TT fin?

Here's my '77 Targa. It does have SC flares though:

Hey, I'd love to post some pics of my 77 Targa... but for some reason I cannot post pics the same way I used to. What's changed? Before, all I had to do was click on the "image attach" button, and a mini window would pop up and let me click on the approriate folder and files (just like attaching a photo to an email). Now I get nothing to click on, just a small window asking me to fill in some text (which I do not understand). This is happening on all three of my browsers, BTW

My 77 911S

Here's my 77. I'm running 16 X 6 Fuchs on the front and 16 X 7's on the rear with H205X55 Sumitomo's.

Still has less than 37,000 original miles.

Very nice Jon

How easy/difficult (cheap/expensive) is it to add SC-style flares to a 77? I'm refferring to the rear flares, since the front flares on the 77's and the SC's look the same.
