Is this cylinder shot?
All the other pistons and cylinder's look great, no scoring or anything odd. This one looks like the hardened coating might be wearing through and there's some scoring down the side, not too pretty and I'm guessing I should replace ... thoughts?
It's out of a 2.0S motor. Will any Mahle 2.0 cylinder replace this, or is it 'S' specific. I know the pistons are S specific, and also that some cylinders of the basic 911 were cast Iron, but what about a later T, or E 2.0 cylinder? ![]()

Yes you'll need to fix or replace. It could be bored oversize but then you'd need a new piston. Don't know which models you could get a replacement from. You could also upgrade to bigger cylinders and have a 2.2. I'd post a WTB ad and see if Uncle Zak or someone else has a part to help you.
