Picture Request (and i know you all LOVE posting pictures)

I spent the last hour searching and looking through all the pictures, but i can't really find what i'm looking for. Can someone post a picture of their car (a targa would be super) with a ducktail or carerra tail from a rear 3/4 shot. I'm trying to show my dad the difference between the two, and give him a sense of what both will look like on this car:

Note, the car is going to receive RUF style bumpers soon. Just haven't decided on the tail. Many thanks!

-Ian

ducktail will be the way to go IMHO. sorry, don't have the pic you're looking for. I've seen what you're looking for, though, somewhere...

I disagree with Kobalt, if you are going to install one put the correct spoiler on for the time period IMO. Everyone will have their own opinion and do whatever you like the best. If my car didn't originally come with the front & rear spoilers on it, I would leave it without a rear spoiler. The car has much cleaner lines without a spoiler IMO. Here ya go (although it is a coupe):

Good luck with your decision!

ralph, is that a whale tail or a carerra tail? I thought the whale tails were angled up like that, not a carerra....

I know this is not the angle you're looking for, but I just love the look of this Ruf bumper / ducktail combo

That is a Carrera tail, the Turbo or "Whale" tails have the sides angled up rather than flat like mine. The turbo tails are also known as "tea trays". Lotsa different nicknames people have come up with!

In my opinion, the Turbo tails looks a little out of place on a narrow bodied car. Stick with either the Carrera like mine or the ducktail.

RSA tail here - all fiberglass, no rubber lip around the outer edge.

Ralph, I was referring to the use on a targa specifically. I like the carrera tail on coupes, but I'd stick with a duck on a targa. I prefer no tail at all, however. Of course this is all highly subjective. Different strokes for different folks...
