bay area late summer early fall run

anyone up for a mines rd run the 28 or 29 of this month? if the temps are in or near the mid 80's it could be a good weekend to get together.

i figured this was far enough out guys could clear calanders, it was a week before the holiday weekend, and two weeks before the next ggr ax.

what day, and whos in?

I'd be up for Sunday the 29th for sure. Saturday I have a concert to go see in Bezerkley. Does this run usually last hours or the whole day? I might go do a "pre-run" this Sunday just to check it out. I went up to Skyline (from Saratoga), north to 84 out to the coast and back to Skyline last night - awesome sky last night.......

cliff is right i meant you chris. from here on out you will be known a br beers. all in favor say ale,,, i mean aye...

get on that waiting list of you can mr beers, you will learn more about driving your car in two days than you would doing mines a hundred times. its amazing how spinning your car a couple times will get you to learn limits. they have exercises, like a skid pad that are priceless if you are interested in getting to know the car.

i might even recommend just going the morning of the thing and see if there is a no show and you can slide in. the time i went back in 02 i was on the waiting list and got a call the night before and went last minute.

if not seems like mat and i will be going that weekend up mines so if your interested stay tunned. i will go one of the two days if its not too hot. it gets warm out there and can really heat up the cars more than im comfortable with.

OK. Mr Beers it is
A little too formal though, beersman?
I REALLY want to do the school but am talking myself out of it since I am slammed at work and will be working weekends for awhile. So how can I do Mines? It's only one day and possibly only a partial day at that. I agree about the heat, we never even bother riding at Carnegie in the summer, you have to take a break every 1/2 hour. So, if we can get it together, how about early in the a.m.? Less heat, cars, bikes and cops I would assume. I even volunteer for the last spot in line as I know you guys will smoke me

OK, either way really.
If it's hot, I get a tan

If we go later on in the day, I'll come into work which is 5 seconds from your house Toby, so I could just come over and hook up with you then.

Does you route take you back over Hamilton? If so, maybe we can stop by my friend's place to replenish fluids and check it out for pig hunting. Only thing with that is he is 1/2 mile in on a dirt road. A 911 would be fine, but some owners would never even drive on dirt so.....

Just an idea

Hey Toby,

Still working on it. I think I should be able to put my axle back in tonight and get that into Bob first thing in the morning. The axle nut did not come in yesterday but should be there today. I'm also going to try and squeeze in a valve adjustment (Bob) if possible. Then, I'll have fresh oil, valves and a new axle. I'm sure that will make me faster

I wouldn't say it would make you faster, but it will make you _not_slower_.
