Man, that is too funny and too cool, both at the same time. Slightly inconvenient to have that POS in front of your garage, but I bet it was fun to see it towed away. Then nothing but redline. Gotta love it.

P.S. - I wonder how long it took for the person to realize that they're POS was towed.

occasionally someone parks in front of my shop door, in spite of the "keep clear 24 hours" sign. i roll out the floor jack and swing the car out into the street on an angle. pretty soon it gets a ticket and a tow if the owner doesn't show up first. nobody has ever said anything to me yet. they just get in and drive off looking stupid.

I've found that a small amount of C4 under the gas tank is pretty effective. The only problem is repainting the garage door to get rid of the smoke damage.

Wouldn't it have been more fun to simply torch it and drive thru the ashes, Bell?

I like your ghetto fab electrical tape steering wheel recovering job. It looks pretty clean.

I'm just impressed with the shoe thing. Too often I get to the car and wonder where they are. Any pointers?

yes the steering wheel fix is temporary.......i'm going to order an alan gun recovery kit this week......it was kind of humid and the steering wheel simply started chunking to bits.........
gotta do what you gotta do

i contiplated using the suburban to simply push the car out of the way......but then i thought a $112 charge to get their car back would be a better lesson, this is a regular occurance around here......just the first time someone blocked me

Running in 3rd at ~5600 RPM with the temp only at ~150-155 degrees? Isn't that a little cool to be so high up in the RPMs? I was always told to get up to around 180 before pushing it. Have I been holding back too much?
ps cool that the bozo had to pay for the tow

Yeah... I was going to say the same thing. Isn't the car a little cool for 5500 plus on the tach?

Looks more like 165-170 to me. And my owners manual said drive at moderate rpms for 1 mile before taking it to redline.

OK ... tell the truth. It was your wife's car you towed and you couldn't find her keys

Hehe... Did you stick around to see the owners reaction when he/she realized the car was gone? I took my car out today for a quick run too. It was cool out here also and I couldn't get the oil temp above 180 F. I took quick sprint to redline in 4th. All I had was a crappy cammera phone though:
