how are the values of 911's holding up?

The values of 911SC's and Carrera's have not done so well over the last 2 years. Are the values still soft or have they stabalized? Is this a good time to buy?

I think that anytime the economy is soft and more people are squeezed is a good time to buy. Last year would have been even better.

They seem to have stabilized - especially with the SC and Carrera - now with the new 997 coming out - the 996's and probably 993's will likely drop a little more.

Any time is a good time to buy.

these cars are NOT investments nor will 99% of them ever be, so anytime is a good time to buy if you want one.

my 356 is up about 50% since 1998 :) My 85 seems to be down just slightly in 3 years...not bad since Ive added 10K miles and we've had a recession.

I don’t know anything about the 356 market, but other then some muscle cars and other very rare stuff nothings going through the roof. Your 85 is not an expensive car to begin with at least 3 years ago it wasn’t, so it’s not going to collapse in value. People on this board tend to take good care of their cars and make improvements to help the value too. There were just too many 911's around to make these collector cars other then in the special edition ones. Check back in 20 years when that 85 is closer to what 60's American muscle car is now.
