Cool Black Hills twisty's

Just returned from a trip to the Black Hills in SD. Just some pictures of the twisty's and scenery. There was a car show in Deadwood this weekend these were just a few examples
Next started early to avoid traffic

The fun started after Mt Rushmore

A look of what's to come.

Only getting better

The real fun started here!

This went on for 14 miles, turned around and tried it the other way, just as much fun. Saw 5 Boxters, several 911's and a 914 in Hill City all friendly and a panoramic view of what the Black Hills looks like.

Don't make me go back to the flatlands!

Looks like heaven to me!!! Michael, how do you get away with slamming your car like that without bump steer? Looks very menacing. Are those 15" wheels? I'm jealous, my car is low, but not that low.

Paul,

Those are 7&8x15's and the car was lowered by Bob Johnson ******** in Minneapolis. The height is 24" back and 24 3/4 in the front. Have had no rubbing except once on the front. I rolled the lips slightly where it happened at. I looked at the tie rods and they are 1/4" from being level. It was corner balanced at the same time. I've seen the pictures of your car, it looks great. Hated coming home since eastern SD is very flat.

Michael,

Looks like heaven! I grew up in southeastern SD (Armour) so I know how flat it is. Went to college for a while in the Black Hills and loved every minute of it. Took my wife out there a couple years ago for the first time. I spent 8 years in Hawaii and now we're in Florida. I really miss mountains! Florida is so flat it makes even eastern SD look like the Rockies!!

It most certainly does! and coming from you Paul, you (and everyone else who lives in the SeaTac area) would really know.

I spent last week cruising around on some of your roads. Have to say I was really homesick for my 911. The Chrysler Sebring did okay, but would have really loved to open up my own car out there.

Spent most of my time cruising around between Lacey, Yelm and Rainier. Left the I-5 at the Old Nisqually exit and cruised around to Old Pacific and then onto the Vail Loop and Vail Cutoff and the Yelm Highway into Lacey. Roads were all nice and smooth, almost as if they were all freshly paved, just for me . I can only imagine what the roads are like further up into the mountains.

Randy
