Plain Fan,
wastintime is from Charleston, so I am sure he will speak up. What kind of a car, was there last week, saw more Porsche cars, then all the other times. Michael

Thanks everyone, I won't be needing a ppi now but I'll remember the names just in case another comes up.

Check out Eurpoean Road and Racing on Rivers Ave. (843-747-1342). Karl Troy, the owner, is a former technician for a world class european Porsche racing team and KNOWS Porsches inside and out. He also works on very expensive Italian and other high end cars. Most importantly, he cares about the work he does. I was stuck in SC on July 3rd with no A/C (I live in Maryland) and the owner, Karl, dropped everything, found the problem, did a quick fix at no charge. I took the car back two days later for him to rewire an after market fan and install a relay that permanently fixed the problem . Total charge $60.

Plain Fan,
Yeah, come over to Rennsport and see us! If you go to European Road and Racing they are very good as well. Karl's our buddy we do like and respect him. Both Karl and my boss Stan worked on a few race cars together. I would not recommend going to Autometrics... don't ask. I know I'm tooting our own horn, but Stan really is amazing. He knows 911s, he worked for PCNA for a while, he built the can-am car SPOT (you can see our logo on the rear windshield), and he's crewed on a few 962s. We're on HWY-7 right next to Maaco before Citadel Mall. 843-556-4925

Thanks for the offer guys, but I was just to far away to pursue the car much further after emailing with the owner.
I'll keep you in mind if another car in the SC area turns up.
