gone to the dark side: wayne's fault

Wayne and his shiny red Ferrari. Then he posts a link to a deal I couldn't pass up. Yup...a red beast in the house:

any performance specs? where are the plastic pit babes?

nostatic 09-02-2004 04:50 PM

the plastic pit babes? Umm...they didn't come with the kit. Honest. No Calvin, there wasn't an extra bag...

It goes zero to 100 is however fast Calvin can throw it. 100 to zero specs are downright awesome....less than 0.01 seconds. BUT, it has to be rebuilt after ever brake application. Small price to pay for such performance, don't you think?

Michael and Reubens seem a bit stiff though. I'm going to buy them a few beers and see if they can loosen up a bit.

They were also talking to some of the Bionicles guys after the session. I'm a little worried about how the teams might change for next year. Schumacher muttered something about "Technic"...

TRE Cup 09-02-2004 05:17 PM

don't you mean "break" application???

GettinHeadStuds 09-02-2004 05:20 PM

Lol!

That model is badass.

Are their helemts painted to spec?

juanbenae 09-03-2004 06:58 AM

my pops nearly killed me when i was a kid for leaving leggos out and he stepped on them. hurt his foot or something??

cowtown 09-03-2004 07:26 AM

Ha! I was just drooling over that model at "Kids R Us" last week when we went in to buy a carseat for our 9-month-old.

I made a halfhearted attempt to convince my wife that he's ready for Legos, but it just wasn't going to fly. Maybe in two or three years.

juanbenae 09-03-2004 07:29 AM

colin, my pops would have welcomed my choking on a leggo after stepping on them barefoot a time or two.

911S Targa 09-03-2004 07:37 AM

Hmmm, I have that exact carpet in my living room. Scary.

So do I - sans legos and kids, of course.

Was it on freaken sale or something?

nostatic 09-03-2004 08:33 AM

it was put in when the PO refurbed the house. It was throughout the entire house (except the original cork floors in two rooms). The last 3 weeks have been spent yanking it up and refinishing the red oak hardwood underneath. That room is the last remaining one to be done.

If anyone wants some used carpeting cheap. Really cheap. Sounds like it will match your current houses :p

Screw buying that model for your kids! Buy it for yourself! :D I'm off to Toys R Us.

Craig 930 RS 09-03-2004 10:33 AM

Then when the trend for bare floors/wood/metal for houses and cars is out --- & carpeting comes back in, people will be slathering carpeting all over the house again - "Aagh, cold floors let's cush it up"

Old enough to see the trends come & go

My only complaint with the lego pit setup is it doesn't come with the 15 man pit crew. :)
