No airflow at all from dash or defroster ('89 Carerra)
Hi All,
I know the climate control system in these newer cars is confusing, but I have tried every trick in the book and I cannot get airflow to come out of the center or side vents, or the defroster vents in the dash. The A/C fan and dash-controlled fan both work fine (I can hear them), but no air comes out no matter where I set the center dash levers. As I move the levers I can hear the airflow change direction and hear flaps move. I can feel some air coming out of the underdash area, but nothing from the dash vents or defroster. I'm guessing some kind of airflow flap is stuck or malfunctioning. Any ideas? |

*blushing* Yep, that worked. But why would those affect the center and side dash vents which only work using the a/c fan? I tried closing the between-the-seats levers again, and the dash vents still worked! Do you have to open those levers just to "get them going"? Wierd.
Is there a climate control FAQ anywhere? I'm pretty good with mechanical things, but this is truly baffling to me. |
