Raleigh/Durham, NC Corner Balance Rec.

It looks like I will have my car back together this weekend after a long suspension rebuild and other while you are in there projects. I know I will need an alignment and corner balance. Does anyone know of a shop in the Raleigh-Durham area that has experience with early 911's?

Thanks,

Rob

Rob,

A friend of mine works at Chapel Hill Tire in Carborro.

His name is Albert and he's got a '70 911T. Albert just put my 7" & 8" fuchs on the other day. I can also recommend The Digital Chassis. It's in Durham on Hwy 70 and he's a Tire Rack certified installer. He has a great alignment machine. Here's his contact info:

The Digital Chassis. A little pricey, but the owner and main tech owns a 928 and used to sell 911's from a dealer so he knows what he's doing.

Rob,

Chuck @ Millersport in Hillsborough is out of town right now but he has all of the equipment to do that as well.

Thanks for the replies. Do you think Chapel Hill Tire or the Digital Chassis can do the corner balance as well? When will Chuck at Millersport be back in town?

Rob

Digital Chassis should... I don't know about Chapel Hill Tire. Sorry, I kind of glazed over the corner balance thing. Better call and ask. Chuck should be back on Monday or Tuesday.

After about 10 months a few more days should not hurt anything. I will probably call The Digital Chassis to see what they can do, but will probably hold off at least until I can talk to Chuck.

Anybody else have a suggestion? I can't be the only one in the triangle with this question.

Thanks,

Rob

I also recommend the Digital Chassis. As for Chuck, he's supposed to be back tuesday, but I need him to fix my transmission first, so you best go to the Digital Chassis!

Chuck at Millersport has a great reputation. Also, if you want to go a bit further away or Chuck is booked up, Dave at Speedwerks in High Point can do the job.
