best front/rear tire pressures for HPDC?

I have Fuchs 16 inch 6's and 7's with Toyo Proxes RA-1's.
Any advice on best tire pressure front and rear?
I'm looking for the best configuration for the skidpad
and for the exercises I will be participating in.

I was thinking 37 front, 40 rear for starters?

I use the same tires and I like to have them be about 36 to 38 hot. For your exercises I'd start with about 34 front and 35 rear. For 20 min lapping sessions I'd let about 2 lbs out of all tires before you start. This assumes that you are a novice. If you are driving the car at the limit (expert) the tires can gain up to 10 lbs in 20 min. You really don't want more than 40 PSI even when the tires are hot.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I didn't know track action could
increase pressure so quickly. Valuable info, thanks again.
I'll start with the lower pressures you mention.

s5uewf, if I recall correctly, Paul M. at Radial Tire (in Silver Springs) told me to set them to 32/34 cold when I bought a set of RA-1s for my 73E.

s5uewf, my tire pressures are 32 front - 34 rear (cold), and I have the same exact set up as you 16x6's and 7's Fuchs. I did the HPDC with these pressures and I was fine.

Thanks guys. Maybe I'll see some of you at Summit Point
on the 18th? I'll be on the Jefferson Circuit for the HPDC.
I hear there are races ongoing on the other courses, as well.
