parking brake light HELP!
The parking brake light indicator on my dash will not usually
go out when I release the parking brake. If I push down on the brake lever, the light will go out. It appears to just be a problem with the contact switch in the brake lever assembly or perhaps a cable doesn't have quite enough slack? Can anyone tell me how to adjust this mechanism? Thanks! P.S. The parking brake is disengaged fully since the car will roll with the brake in the down position. The problem doesn't appear to be related to the brakes as the light will go out with a slight downward pressure on the brake lever.

There should be an adjustment slot on the brake handle housing, there is a small set screw on the right side, loosen the screw, slide the switch in the arch shaped slot till you have the light coming on and going off like it should then tighten the set screw.
