1000km drive Sept.11 drivers NEEDED

We have drivers (more are always welcome) but I really need to know who is planning on showing up. We are having a catered and hosted lunch on Saturday in Goldendale WA so I need to give them the numbers.

Since you are asking for confirmations, with more than a few regrets, I cannot go along on this most excellant ride with you fellows. From Chicago to Seattle is just too far to go for a weekend. So Cathy and I started thinking, let's take a few more days,,,,, so we ended up with a 6,000 mile 8 day jaunt thru Banff, Seattle, and Yellowstone,,,,, much too expensive when there are two kids in college.

We are going to do a few days traipsing around Wisconsin, along the Mississippi river. I know, lame, dull, boring, 400 FEET maximum elevation, pathetic, corn fields and cows..... I gotta move to Seattle....

You fellows have a good time now.

Post lots of pictures, I want to know what I missed.

John, sorry to hear that. If you ever get out this way Tracy and I will be happy to play host to some good seafood and some good driving.

We are trying to nail down a week trip in late September. The plans change daily in my mind

BTW the hosted lunch will be home made deli sandwichs (ham, turkey, cheese or veggie), home made potato salad, fresh melon and fruit, a beverage (tea, coffee and sodas). All this in a 50's style soda fountain that also serves shakes and ice cream to finish up that light lunch!

I'm afraid I'll have to give you about an 85% confidence level that I'll make it. My wife is out of town that weekend and we have a 7 week old puppy that will be too young to leave at home alone for that long. As of now my 19 yr. old son is planning on taking care of the dog, but you know how those things can change...

BTW, mind if I invite a very enthusiastic M5 Dinan driver to come along? He'll blow all of our doors off in the straights - I won't want to watch in the turns

Probably won't be able to do the whole tour - can you give us details on a partial route - ie a '1/2k' route? I'm not familiar enough with the route synopsis described in the original post.

I want to go on this trip, but a full track day with instructing the entire day bafore - then at the drive-in at 6 am for an all-day'er the next day won't work.

How about an "AAA trip-tik version" for 1/2 day event?

Dane, if you want to swap cars for a segment, let me know

THX

Man, you guys are quickly cutting down my catering bill

Craig, I don't let anyone drive my car these days, but thanks for the generious offer. I bet your 3.6 is a beastie!

We'll hook up at the track soon enough.

Half day trip is up to Mark Wilson and who ever decides to show. But think it is 410 on the back side of Mt. Rainier to Packwood and Randall and 25 to the view point on St. Helens.

It is such a good drive I am tempted to run down there today.

Half day route

Mark,

Is your route pretty much as Dane described? Start time? Back through Morton, Electron, Orting?
Kurt
