0-60 times for 2.7MFI...pretty amazing

A buddy of mine is the new owner of my 1975 US Carrera with bone stock 2.7MFI 8.5cr motor. A while back I had it dynoed at ~208hp to the rear wheels. The other day he did some 0-60 runs with my G-Tech, and the best run was a 5.07 sec blast. I am fairly certain that these G-Techs are somewhat accurate, so this confirms my thoughts that this car "gets it." The car is completely stock except that I yanked the AC. The car has the trans from my 911E, so has the 7:31 along with a factory LSD. Not sure what the car weighs, but I would guess in the 2300's.

Not too shabby for 30 year old technology.

Thought some might be interested.
This same friend is putting a 3.8varioram in a lightwt early 911, so a new 0-60 level with obviously be set with this car when it is completed in the next year.

Doug:
So, is your friend coming to the PCA AX on 19 Sept?
.....or are you, for that matter. You have some catchup to do

BTW, the motor is a Euro spec 2.7L ...MFI, S cams, yada

this is true
this is a Euro spec MFI motor, not the US 2.7 CIS
the dyno was the rolling dyno that Powerhaus hauls to some of the PCA club race venues.... that's about all I can tell you about it
I've got the printouts at home, so I could scan them in and post them here

the car would do the 1/4 mile in the high 13's, so perhaps that makes the 0-60 times more believable?

my friend doesn't do auto-x..... like I don't do sushi

Paul.... catching up, huh?
I be at the 9/19 auto-x.... I likely will be designing the course too
so expect some sections where you need to use reverse!!!!
see you then

I believe the 0 to 60 time. My car has similar to silghtly better times depending on how the MFI is adjusted and how much I want shock the drivetrain.

Those numbers are more believable for Euro MFI engine.

Car and Driver abused a stock 74S to do a 0-60 in 5.9 secs.

A stock U.S. 74 911S with a faster 0-60 time than a stock U.S. '73 911S?

just the originally quoted 5.07 sec
I would have guessed 5.5 with this car and engine
so this is faster than I would have thought
must have been a good engine builder......
