X-member pitting. Cause for concern?

Cleaning up my front end today and I noticed this pitting around the X-member mounting bolt holes. Is this something to worry about? The car will be 90% street driven.

thanks

Sorta looks like mechanical damage rather than pitting... was a star washer ever on it?

See any pits anywhere else? I don't in your photo...

Clean carefully and go voer the things with a lot of light and a magnifying glass.

Also, try to get Jim Sims interested in this problem...

Finally, is there a technical school near you? An instructor might be able to help examine it.
