Wevo Shift Gate Install
Has anyone ever done a self install? How difficult is it.
If I have my wrench do it how many hours should I expect to be charged if the tranny is already out of the car? Am I going to regret not putting it in later? This is not a new or repuilt tranny, but with a low mileage unit with ZF LSD. I race the car in G stock. Thanks for your comments.

Tranny out of car would be about 2 hrs max - YMMV

I believe that it was specifically made for the home DIY type to install.

Per my instructions, it can be done IN the car also - but preferably out.
I've been fully WEVO-ized !

It is a real pain to put in the gate while the tranny is in the car. Can be done but its not easily. Best to do it while the tranny is out and a LOT cheaper time wise. Yes it is worth doing and you'll regret it if you don't add the gate while ti is out.
I ended up pulling my tranny to add the gate because we had so much trouble getting it in while the tranny was still bolted up. Hayden thought we were nuts. My wrench gave up at 4 hours. |
