It's hard to test with outside temps in the 80's, but when I closed the submarine handles I got a good dose of hot air. The passenger side is a bit weaker. No 3 speed blower for snow covered windshield; for me it's a moot point. The blowers in the foot wells are still there, haven't been able to get those to work without the engine blower present.

Very nice, J.P. I think we can all agree the A/C delete and heater backdate clean up the engine bay considerably.

What did you use for the left side connection: the turbo duct or a modified older style duct? Looks like you have a lot of distributor clearance.

I used a John Walker modified duct. He did a fantastic job on a piece I sent him. I took a bit of shaping to get a clean fit.

My heater blower never worked when I got my car. I fixed it and the difference is very noticeable, especially if you live in a colder climate. Once the engine is up to temperature however, it's hot either way.

The footwells and the engine blower work through a relay near the engine. Without the engine blower the footwell blowers won't work unless you either modify the relay or jumper the engine blower connector. I'm not recommending that exactly because you might need to put some sort of resistor or something in place to eliminate the straight short condition. I always wanted to do that with my car. I think I would have left the AC in place and run the driver's side tube to the heater tube crossover that is stock on the 3.2L.

Looks great, I agree, the 3.2L engine looks great when you clean up all of the extra stuff, but not quite as good as something with carbs or mfi.

I also removed both footwell blowers. The systems great without the blowers IMO.

The left side of mine was plastic. I think they made these towards the end of this style. Used a heat gun to mold it to make room for the twin distributer.

Does your 964 dizzy fit into the hole left by removing the Carrera heat down pipe?

I have an SC which doesn't have the footwell blowers.

I rewelded the hole where the original duct went. The dizzy sits in the depression where the how was. I had to do some creative bending for it to fit. With the twin plugging, it would be extremely hard to retain the original heating set up. Fortunately, I switched to SSI's a few years ago.

Very nice! That's one of the projects that's on my "to do" list (along with deleting my A/C). I'm impressed!

If I short the connection of the engine blower, the footwell blowers will work? You mention putting a resistor to make up for the motor.
Has anyone done something like this to get the foot well blowers to work?

When I backdated mine, the footwell blowers continued to work fine! I have the auto-heat option, maybe that makes a difference. I was surprised they still worked.
