ST Project update: Light up the night!!

I spent the weekend with the wire clippers, soldering iron, and lighter. It was worth it. All the lights work. here are the nice new rear Euro lenses. not so easy to find with the correct silver trim. Yep, new license plate to match the car.

The Cibies are bright as can be. They seem to make the 80W highs on tHe H4s look a bit pale.

The wiring is nice and clean. Self stick tabs made for phone wire work great!

Stealth wiring is run down the interior of the stiffening rib for the hood.

I finally got the seat belts installed. The Bielstein seats feel great. The harnesses will be mounted this week to the cage and will be easily removable for street use.

What is the stealth wiring for? I'd put rubber grommets on the holes BTW.

The car looks great and the lights should vaporize those yuppies returning home late in the hill country...

I am just in awe. What a beautiful car! Can you take some pics from a distance? Would love to see the front end with the lights and how they look on the car as a whole.

Great work!

oh yah, those rear flares are gorgeous!

Yes, I have grommets to fit, not installed yet. Stealth wiring just made it look clean. No other reason.

Tim, I don't know that wattage they are. I suspect 100W but it just may be an illusion with the smaller diameter, better lenses and reflectors. There is also not that large center diffuser as on the H4s.

Shaun, send me an email. I will take some pics and email them to you.

Jamie,
For $40, a guy in Manassas will strip your vintage plate, and redo any way you want. I had him color match the Signal Orange for the raised letters and did the background black. It gets alot of complements.

HMM it should be on. I will change it. Look for pics soon.

Paul, I know the person you are refering too. I hear he can also TIG weld plates to create custom vintage vanity plates. The problem is that I have to keep the black letters on white in order to register them in TX. They inspect them by hand before issuing a registration. I suppose I could change them afterwards.

Car is looking great! Where did you find the taillight lenses. That is what I am looking for to put on my 70S.
TIA

I found the front and rear lenses on Ebay. A seller had lots of Bosch NOS stuff. I emailed and he had these. Price was resonable even with shipping from Germany. I think his screen name was "empigtv" or something similar. These have been in a box for about 2 years waiting for this day.

They seem to be hard to find. No one has the correct silver trimmed Euro lenses. Either silver US or Euro Black.

Just kidding Jamie, looking great! You'll have to bring it up to Denver when you're done and we can test out those ITBs!

Funny, I had the trickle charger plugged in. It does sorta look like I plugged them into the garage to pull all that current.

A trip to CO would be great. My brother in law is in Co Springs. We have been trying to get out to see him. Don't know when I will have a free weekend.
