Things have been very slow lately.

I fly through all other sites.

Am I alone?

It's probably because of the train wreck post with the speedsters. It's been linked all over the interent with 1000's of views.

me too. i often get several error, or can't find server messages after posting a reply. just got a 569 message. the top of the page often loads, but the thread list takes more time to appear. i tried to post after editing just now and i got page cannot be displayed.

Uh oh, hope it doesn't make it to Fark....then we're dead.

yup, it's Farked...and with a not so nice headline to boot: "Train plus truckload of vintage Porsches equals hilarity"

The last time a Pelican thread was Fark-o-lized the link was redirected or cut.

Yes, but the admins found the problem -- they put a Steve Fong slightly modified chip in the server. That caused the timing on the PCI bus to be too advanced, causing the server to ping sites incorrectly and run hot. They tried a Cool Collar on the CPU, but it didn't do anything, of course, 'cause the inside of the case has a high ambient temp, as any fool knows. Next up was a red powder-coated 11-bladed fan, again no help, but it looked good, if a little gay. They pulled the hard disk and polished it. Finally, they removed the monitor, keyboard, outer case, graphics card, USB ports, and sound card. After that weight reduction program, it finally ran fast.

Give it a day - it will blow over and speed back up again. Traffic has multiplied 10-fold with the news of the Speedster train wreck!

I think it's quite possible that because of the "Fark Link", another Porsche owner may have discovered PParts. Go Wayne!
