Another RS project. MINE part 4
 

I just got my Linsey8,9.5x17 in an RS finish. They look so cool! I wanted to finish the car for the German Auto Fest but could not. There are to many little things to do that require thousands of dollars so The Toad is just going to have to wait.

Anyway, I thought I would share so pics of the wheels. Thanks Jack! The yellow paint from my house is reflecting on them and give the wheels a yellow tint.

Gorgeous - you won't be able to drive the car...

What are Linsey's? Do they refinish Fuchs? Or are these copies of a Fuchs? IF the latter, are they forged?

They weld a Fuchs center into a single piece outer rim. It's a great way to get custom bakspacing, 17-inch diameter, and that old-time Fuchs look. As a bonus, the wheels are lighter than the same width of Fuchs.

Those look darn good Joe. The wevo brakes at the show were just gorgeous, their quality is amazing and they fit under 15's!!!! too cool, so who in socal is gonna have em first? haha, what tires are you going to run on those??

911 361 020. I think they were 7x16 Fuchs.

Yes. The wevo brake system was gorgeous! Very pricy i'm sure. I could think of alot better ways to spend that kinda money on the project. For right now at least. When its done and i'm bored, I may look into it. I also liked the way iy fit under a 15 wheel. Very trick!

I did not supply the donors. Mike Linsey did. Final cost was 2100.00 Alot cheaper than 951, 8x16 and 911, 9x16. Then add the cost of restoring. I dont know the part #'s for fuchs, but I thought that they were 16x6 because they are flatter on the outer section.

Looks like your car is almost ready to roll. What still needs to be finished?

Anyone have a ball park price on the Wevo brakes?

The rear suspesion needs to be installed. All 4 calipers need to be rebuilt, SS brake lines, headliner and RS carpet kit installed, Tired 2.4 needs to be cleaned up before I install it, chrome needs to be sent out and polished, tires, install a TRE ST rollbar, seats, harness, and a couple of little things. I kinda of put the car on the back burner as I need to concentrate on work right now. How is your car coming along?

...back to Wevo... what makes their brakes so special? (Other than 4 pistons) If it's in the price range of 930 brakes, why go w/ Wevo? Once we go that route (putting ANY caliper under the p-car), does that mean that as long as the mounting bolts line up, AND we match the piston size to the master cylinder, that any caliper will do?

The reason I mention this is b/c Wilwoods are dirt cheap. I know they have a Nascar association, but as far as calipers go, they are not bad, considering what you will be replacing. They've improved greatly and even the low low-end models drastically reduced caliper flex.
