Another Carpet question.
Whats the best product to clean my Linen coloured carpet? I would at least like to try to clean it before replacing the whole lot.
TIA Mark

I, too have the linen interior.
Count yourself lucky - you can use pretty much anything you want (up to and including bleach) without much risk of ruining the colour. I toss pretty aggressive, kitchen type cleaners at mine from time to time. |

I cleaned my linen carpet with one of those "so called" steam vac carpet cleaners. If did a nice job of removing dirt, but the jute backing on the carpet blead through and turned the carpet a nice dirty brown.
I had to completely dry the pieces, then do them again with just enough water to get the brown out, without getting the jute wet again. anybody else have this problem?

Thanks for the info guys and the heads up re steam vacs. I was planning on renting one for the weekend. If I do I will take it easy.
BTW, The 'jute' backing as you call it seems to be falling off my carpets. As a result the rear foot well pieces are extremely thin and floppy. Is it possible to re attach something to the back of the carpet? BTW, my carpets arn't stained, just almost grey with dusty type dirt. I think I will try the mild bleach first and sponge them over. They dont look like they have ever been cleaned.
