Boxer Engine + Spyder Body = BOXSTER

Say it with me, BoxSter.

Stupid name that no one can get right.

Thanks for the link, great stuff.

In twenty years, that car will be mine if I just start saving now.

In 2024, we will still have gas, right?

The rear fenders remind me of the front of the Mazda RX-8. I guess if they got rid of the rear fender bulges that it would look too much like a 911 Turbo Jr.

Its going to be fun to get to the motor of that Boxster Coupe. Maybe it'll come with some kind of driveline quick-release where the whole motor and tranny will just drop out of the bottom of the car onto factory installed casters with the push of a button.

Goodness, that GT3Cup looks heavenly.

I don't believe it, they retained the stupid slit opening (996 style) at the leading edge of the front hood-WTF.

hahaha after all the *****ing and moaning about the boxster and the 911 looking alike...and after all the changes to distinguish them...

911 headlights, 911 side markers, 911 turn signals (albeit a hugemongous front intake grill) 911 side mirrors, 911 rims...

and it doesn't look like they are using these pieces in a mock up...looks almost production

also is it just me or is everyone going for the "crossfire look" boxster, bentley...I think it looks nasty

GT3: wow...that front shot is SO 993-esque...why couldn't they just smooth out the turn signal indents?? and the central inlet looks like the car is puckering up...kinda RX-7

i think if they work on the side profile to look just a tad more 911...not so long in the nose and not so high in the butt...I just may be able to come over to the dark side and looks past the water pumper....

(but I can look past the cosmetics of the GT3 since it is all about making the car faster...can't say that about the 997)

MJ

No. Because americans insist on driving SUV's, the dinosaurs among cars.

That cup car is nasty -- definitely one of the baddest/most aggressive porsches ever.

I know it sounds like blasphemy but maybe with its low(er) weight the Boxster coupe will become the CS of the generation. For the not so wealthy masses. The new favorite pasttime will be looking for wrecked Carrera Ss to transplant the motors... yummm

That's funny, i actually really like the look of the boxster coupe. It, for some reason, reminds me of a 360 mixed with a 997.
