Question Konis vs Bilsteins

Okay guys, one of the things I wanted to do it get my SC really movin is to install new shocks. So whats the consensus on this, Konis or Bilsteins? Is this a good idea? is there a major difference in the overall handling? What should follow? Any help/input would be great!

Depends on what your front strut housings are. If they are Bilstein, (green) then you can only get bilstein inserts. If they are Koni (orange) then you can only get Koni inserts. If they are Black (Boge) then you can run whatever you want.

I prefer Koni, because I like the externally adjustable inserts, and shocks. Bilstein are great though, and you can get them revavalved to match your suspension upgrades.

I just put Blilstein rear shocks on my 911 and I love them. I'm going to put new Boge front inserts in this winter.

And if you adjust to the soft setting I think the ride for street use is fine.
I have the yellow adjustable

I don’t really know My car came with different
Struts and shocks on each side of the front so anything is better

But the wife doesn’t complain about taking my car for long
rides anymore and the ability to change settings is nice.

If you have stock torsion bars and are getting koni, do not get the sport yellow. Get the standard RED. The sport yellows are more like Bilstien sports and the reds are more like HDs.

I've had both Konis and Bilsteins and I like them both. For street driving, I would have to do some back to back testing with new shocks on the same or very similar cars to say which is "best" and have never done that. So I think you'll be happy with whatever your struts will take.
