The copyright on the pictures says Sherwood Lee. Isn't he "911pcars" here on the board? Maybe he has more pics.

"no carrera tensioners....."

I don't know where you're going with this comment but many race engines do not use pressure fed tensioners. The supply lines have a tendancy to fail due to the added vibrations induced in a race car through the solid engine/trans mounts. Also, solid tensioners are not uncommon in a race motor since those motors tend to get tore down frequently for maintenance.

Hi Bob,
Make it simple, call Gary and ask him the owners name! If the person is like the rest of us he will send you a CD full of pic's. Grandpa Emory is an R Gruppe member like yourself.

Welome back Randy! I was fortunate enought to have been @ Emory's when this car was being put together. It's a 911R clone, thus the forward oil tank. Gary showed us the tank. A custom made aluminum piece, special baffles inside. I knew right then I'd have to win a lottery to afford one of Gary's cars. Hell, I couldn't afford the tank, let alone the entire car... Lotsabucks involved in the creation of this gorgeous historic race car...

We have to convince more people to want the things that we want.... then mas production will bring down the price. Did you find out the wt. of the Al tank?

Randy J. -- finally got my engine that Dick E. did installed in the car - driving it around now.
