Is the Carrera tail an intake or an exhaust for engine heat?

I was wondering if one could fabricate an intake under the grille of the Carrera tail and then route air pipes down to the rear rotors for cooling?

Is this reasonable? Has anyone tried this?

The tail sticks into the curving (over the top of the body) airflow, and is ever so slightly pressurizing the inlet screen for the intake of cooling air. Most of the compartment heat goes out the bottom of the engine bay. Most of the engine heat goes out the exhaust, actually.

I think you'd be better fashioning a scoop elsewhere for rear rotor cooling.

B. Anderson's book shows a scoop under the car to catch and direct air to the rear brakes.

This might be a little drastic but you could also install plastic NACA ducts onto Lexan rear quarter windows, then run flex hose through the body to the rear brakes. Some guys also use this route for add'l engine air. You could even add an inline blower motor to the ducting for a little more airflow.
