84 930 Rear Axle Torque Specs

Can anyone confirm the rear axle torque specs for an 84 930?

I replaced them recently, and followed Wayne's 101 saying that if you have 6 M8 bolts to torque to 34ft-lb, compared to having 4 M8 bolts needing 61ft-lb.

I ask because mine actually dropped right out on me on the way home yesterday, had to get a tow

I havent managed to get a set of manuals yet

Mooligan,

There is an addendum to the 101 book with the proper torque specs. I believe your 84 is the same as my 85, which should be 61ft-lb.

Thanks for the quick reply, I just came in from working on it, will finish tomorrow.

Looking over the book just not seeing this addendum. So your pretty sure of the 61ft-lb? You have the 6 bolts as well and not 4 M8's?

Maybe you can help decipher this readout from my Mitchel On Demand CD's, this is what it says for rear axle torque specs:

M8-12K 31ft-lb
M10-8G 34ft-lb (this is what I had them at)
M10x55-12K 60ft-lb

What are those numbers after the M10, what is the difference between -8G and x55-12K?

Sorry, the addendum isn't in the book.
